In case you choose the ‘Custom’ option at the bottom of the list, then you can decide the exact width, height, frame rate, aspect ratio, and sample rate for the media.

The new multimedia project launches on the workspace after you click ‘OK’. You can drag and drop content into the bottom left area from your PC directory. Alternatively, you can import the content by clicking the ‘File’ tab in the title bar and choosing ‘Import.’ The media that is imported gets listed in the ‘Media’ panel.

The editing timeline is on the right side of the ‘Media’ list. You can drag your multimedia content from the panel to the timeline to start editing. HitFilm Express categorizes the visual content with blue color and the audio tracks with a green shade. While the two elements are combined at first, you can separate the parts by right-clicking to press ‘Unlink’.

HitFilm Express lets you move the media around on the timeline. A split tool is available within the ‘Editor’ panel to let you slice a video into two sections. The clicker button in the ‘Editor’ lets you go back to the original cursor. You can drag and drop the edges of the clips to trim the sections shorter.

Is HitFilm Express good for YouTube?

HitFilm Express is an excellent video editor for YouTube. The editing service lets you add text to the clips with the text editor in the ‘Text’ tab. You can change the font, size, color, and more.

Additionally, other features that help with YouTube video editing are:

• Effects let you drag and drop visual and audio effects from a large list onto the timeline.
